THE DOMAINE DE CAYLUS

domaine.jpg

Domaine de Caylus is located in the South of France, in the heart of the Languedoc region, a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea.

The story began in 1963 , when Henri Andrieu bought Domaine de Caylus. His son, Louis took over the estate a few years later. Concerned about its impact on the environment and wanting to preserve his estate's biodiversity, he converted to organic farming in 1999 .

Today, Inès, Henri's granddaughter, is the manager of the estate and thus maintains the family tradition by becoming the sixt generation of winegrowers in the family. She strives to pass on this heritage to future generations.

Different grape varieties are grown on this 25 hectares AB certified vineyard : chardonnay, merlot and pinot, which are used to produce IGP Vin de Pays de l'Hérault wines, with the Ecocert organic label. This ensures that the specific characteristics of this exceptional terroir are preserved as naturally as possible.
